Cygnus Gold

"Cygnus Gold Limited recognises that having a high-quality database and data management systems is critical to the success of the company. The Cygnus Board is pleased with Expedio’s support in the lead up to the IPO and we look forward to working together as we build shareholder value through discovery success."

Getting accurate data sorted from the beginning contributes to Cygnus Gold success.

Cygnus Gold Limited (ASX:CY5) is a Perth-based resource company focused on the exploration and discovery of gold deposits in the high-grade metamorphic terrane of southwest Western Australia. Cygnus holds over 3,500km2 of granted tenements and applications and is run by a world class technical team with expertise in target generation using leading edge technologies.

Cygnus Gold’s tenements include early stage exploration areas through to advanced drill-ready targets, where high-grade gold results were sporadically achieved in limited drilling by previous explorers. In addition to the 100% owned Projects, Cygnus is managing two significant earn-in agreements with Gold Road Resources, for the Lake Grace and Wadderin Projects. The Company is also managing exploration on the Yandina Project, in joint venture with Gold Road Resources.

In advance of an IPO in early 2018, Cygnus Gold needed to implement best practice data management from the beginning.

The Board wanted to benefit from outsourcing their IT infrastructure and staffing overheads while having the assurance their data is managed with the highest technical standards. This included implementing an ongoing solution that could be engaged on an ‘as needs’ basis.

Land access and permitting was important with over 3,500 landholder parcels and related landowners to negotiate with over CYG tenement holdings.

Cygnus wanted to establish good data collection practises in standardised templates to meet their business rules regardless of which work type or staff member was in the field capturing data.

As a result, Cygnus Gold Limited contracted Expedio to implement industry best practise data capture and management solutions in advance of their upcoming drilling program.

Expedio’s solution delivery is comprehensive to implement efficient, fully scalable software solutions and ensure consistent, rapid and always accurate data.

That’s why the expert team at Expedio worked in close collaboration with the technical team at Cygnus Gold. The support model deployed ensured efficiency and immediate access to data, as well as the adherence to stringent business rules and statutory compliance.

Expedio established and is delivering a data capture and management solution which provides assurance Cygnus’ data is managed with the highest technical standards on an ‘as needs’ basis.  With a combined centuries of relevant data management experience the Expedio experts are always on hand to assist all Cygnus data stakeholders.

Expedio’s single interface data management solution integrated with centralised and standardised outputs ensured Cygnus Gold Limited is operating from a ‘single source of truth’ across divisions. Advanced mobile dashboard reports deliver progress updates and critical KPI’s to Cygnus senior manager on the move.

Expedio’s innovative data logging solution can be used even when offline, which means that Cygnus Gold Limited will be collecting fast, accurate and dependable data no matter what.

Cygnus Gold Limited completed a successful IPO in January 2018.

Expedio continues to manage all geological data requirements for Cygnus including current and historic data from within their project areas.
